Matthew Perry doesn’t seem to care about making friends in Hollywood.
The former Friends star, in his upcoming memoir, questions why Keanu Reeves is still alive, NME reports.
“Why is it that the original thinkers like River Phoenix and Heath Ledger die, but Keanu Reeves still walks among us?,” five-time Emmy nominee Perry, 53, writes in Friends, Lovers And The Big Terrible Thing.
Both Phoenix and Ledger died of overdoses in 1993 and 2008, respectively.
The Matrix star and friend Phoenix co-starred in My Own Private Idaho and I Love You To Death. Perry – who in the book writes about his own battle with substance abuse and nearly dying of opioid overuse in 2018 – acted alongside Phoenix in A Night In The Life Of Jimmy Reardon.
Perry also reportedly wrote about being upset after Chris Farley’s death, and again brought up Reeves.
“I punched a hole through Jennifer Aniston’s dressing room wall when I found out,” Perry wrote of Almost Heroes co-star Farley’s 1997 death by overdose. “Keanu Reeves walks among us.”
Perry, according to NME, in the book never delves into what has fuelled his beef with Reeves.
