Actress Imelda Staunton on the difficulties playing Queen Elizabeth II on 'The Crown'

Imelda Staunton who will take on the role of Queen Elizabeth II from Season Five of The Crown, has discussed the "extra challenge" she faces portraying a monarch that the viewing public is more familiar with, compared to past players of the role.

Speaking to presenter Emma Barnett on the 75th anniversary of BBC radio show Woman's Hour recently, Staunton said: "I think my sort of extra challenge, as if I needed it, is that I'm now doing the Queen that we're a little more familiar with.
