KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Barisan Nasional chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin is expected to be buried at the Kg Likas Muslim Cemetery after Friday prayers today.

Bung Moktar, who passed away at the age of 66 at 1.46am on Friday (Dec 5), leaves behind two wives including former actress Datin Seri Zizie Izette Abdul Samad.

In a heartfelt message, she wrote “some prayers don't have words anymore, only tears and trust."

"Tonight, I leave one beloved soul in Allah's hands and let this moon carry what my heart can't say out loud,” she said in another post while sharing a series of memories with Bung Moktar throughout their 16-year marriage.

Bung Moktar’s former press secretary Gloria Jaymess shared a touching tribute to him, saying how he was a kind boss and a true fighter.

“See you again on the other side, Datuk. Al-Fatihah. May Allah grant you Jannah and place you among the righteous.

“This time, during the state election campaign, I knew you were suffering but you pushed through, you stood your ground, and you finished strong,” she shared on her social media.

Gloria said that kind of strength was something only a true fighter carried.

She said serving as his press secretary was one of the greatest honours of her life.

“You were a leader who made our work easy, who never burdened us, and who always showed kindness even in your toughest moments,” she said.

“Thank you for your guidance, your trust, and your remarkable spirit. Your legacy will stay with us. Rest well, Datuk Bung Moktar Radin,” said Gloria.
