Kim Won-hae, known for his versatile acting in TV and film roles, is the latest South Korean actor to test positive for Covid-19.
The Strong Woman Do Bong-soon star tested positive on Aug 20, according to a statement by his management Double SG Company:
"Kim Won-hae has tested positive for Covid-19 today. After receiving the test results, we have cancelled all of his schedules. He is currently under self-quarantine measures, and will be transported to the hospital once a ward is prepared."
Kim was acting in a theatre production, Jjambbbong, where a co-star Seo Sung-jong tested positive on Aug 19.
Another co-star, The King: Eternal Monarch actor Heo Dong-won, also tested positive on Aug 20.
The theatre performance has since been cancelled.
South Korea has seen a resurgence in Covid-19 cases recently, with an average of over 200 daily cases recorded in the past few days.
