Unable to hit the gym, actor Azrel Ismail (pic) has noticed some slight weight gain during the MCO.
“I’ve only been doing home workouts. Just simple exercises. But it’s not the same, ” he shares.
But the avid gym-goer regards not being able to maintain his ideal physique as only a small inconvenience, believing that staying home is the most important thing right now to curb the virus.
“I’ve been taking the MCO very seriously. I live alone, and of course, I miss my family. Although I have siblings who live in Kuala Lumpur too, we don’t visit each other. I don’t want the virus to spread, ” the Taiping-native shares.
Home alone, the 36-year-old has been spending his time spring cleaning and cooking for buka puasa.
“If I order food delivery every day, it would cost me quite a lot. I’m trying to save as much as I can. So I cook very simple dishes like pasta and fried chicken.”
The Korban Kasih star adds he has also been working on strengthening his faith this Ramadan. “I do feel closer to God.”
Come Hari Raya, as no interstate travels are allowed, Azrel will celebrate the festivities alone.
“It’s OK. There’s nothing I can do about it. My parents are in Taiping. I can still video call them. And maybe later, when the government allows for interstate travel, I’ll go back and celebrate with them.”
