Singer Nabila Razali gets 40,000 messages after sharing phone number

Nabila Razali promised to make public her personal phone number should her newest video, Peluang Kedua, hit one million views on YouTube – and boy, have the fans responded. At the time of writing, the music video has over 1.6 million views and 134,000 likes.

And Nabila is a woman of her words. As promised, Nabila shared her phone number. She was instantly bombarded with texts; according to the singer, her phone started to malfunction as she received “tens of thousands of non-stop” WhatsApp messages” as well as “hundreds of calls”.

“I've managed to reply to a few hundred chats and calls. It’s just the WhatsApp messages that will take some time, because new messages keep coming in before I can even get to the existing ones!” Nabila told Mstar, The Star's Malay-language portal.

Many fans did not believe the number being shared was of the singer’s personal mobile.

“There were people who thought I was just joking about sharing my number. It gave them a shock when I actually answered their call, ” Nabila added.

Nabila expressed how much she enjoyed being able to interact with her fans directly. “I can use this time to express my gratitude for the support they have shown me throughout my career, ” she said
