Nabila Razali turns backlash into growth

HAVING weathered numerous highs and lows in her career, singer-actress Nabila Razali says relentless criticism of her vocal abilities has made her more mature and resilient.

The 33-year-old Pematah Hati singer says she is now channelling her energy into personal growth and focusing only on what truly matters, Berita Harian reported.

“I think quite a few people are already aware of what I have been through all this while.

“So, it reached a point where I felt like, enough is enough. How much longer am I going to entertain all of this?”

Nabila has decided not to let negative comments dictate her peace of mind or affect her family and personal life.

“Why don’t I just think about myself instead? Do what I love and avoid overthinking about other people.

“I need to protect my own heart; otherwise, I will be the one hurting later on.”

She admitted that intense social media backlash once pushed her to her lowest point, but she is determined not to let those experiences haunt her.

Despite the hurdles, Nabila has no plans to leave the entertainment industry, saying she still has professional goals to achieve.

> Padi farmers in Kedah and Perlis are facing mounting financial pressure as yields for the main harvest season is expected to drop, reported Harian Metro.

Pertubuhan Persaudaraan Pesawah Malaysia (Pesawah) chairman Abdul Rashid Yob said waterlogged fields from heavy rain and strong winds have caused widespread crop lodging.

Current yields are estimated at about 1.5 tonnes per serelung (0.3ha), or five to 5.5 tonnes per hectare, below the safer benchmark of two tonnes per serelung, or about seven tonnes per hectare.

About 30% of planted areas in both states have been harvested, with harvesting expected to peak this month.

Abdul Rashid said the decline continues a downward trend seen over the past four seasons, squeezing farmers’ profit margins as production costs rise.
