Delectable pastries and desserts for an elegant afternoon tea


The ‘Elegant Affair’ afternoon menu showcases a spread of petite delights designed to look like edible fashion items. It is available at The Lounge, Hilton Kuala Lumpur until Oct 31.

THE charming custom of afternoon tea is never out of style.

The Lounge at Hilton Kuala Lumpur is introducing an “Elegant Affair” to give guests a stylish afternoon tea experience.

Expertly prepared by executive pastry chef Akram Ali, the menu showcases a spread of petite delights designed to look like edible fashion items.

Afternoon tea enthusiasts can sit back and relax to the soothing tunes of the piano playing or the three-piece band playing their favourite jazz melodies while savouring the delicacies presented in a classic three-tier stand.

The sweet treats include Mini Strawberry and Vanilla Battenberg Cake, White Chocolate and Blueberry Mousse, Chocolate Hazelnut Eclair, Raspberry Mascarpone Tart, Deconstructed Red Velvet Cake, Ruby Apricot Bonbons and Litchi Rose Macaroon.

The savory items such as Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Dill Brioche, Spiced Pulled Chicken with Coleslaw on Kaiser Roll,Truffle Egg Chunky Charcoal Bread and Spinach and Cheese Quiche are equally tempting.

The afternoon tea set is served from 2.30pm to 5.30pm on weekdays and 12.30pm to 5.30pm on weekends.

It is priced at RM236 nett for two persons and is available until Oct 31.
