Farm Price declares maiden 0.6 sen interim dividend

KUALA LUMPUR: Farm Price Holdings Bhd has declared a maiden single-tier interim dividend of 0.6 sen per share for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2026 (FY26).

Johor-based wholesaler and distributor of fresh vegetables and food and beverage products, Farm Price said in a statement that the dividend, amounting to about RM2.7mil, will be paid on Nov 11 to shareholders whose names appear in the Record of Depositors on Oct 19.

Managing director Dr Lawrence Tiong Lee Chian said the maiden dividend reflected the group’s confidence in its financial performance and cash flow position.

“This also demonstrates the financial discipline we have maintained in our operations, and we intend to continue rewarding our shareholders with regular dividends in the future, subject to the group's cash flow position and capital requirements.”

Separately, Farm Price said it had obtained the necessary approvals to expand its Senai Centralised Distribution Centre, adding about 71,000 sq ft of built-up area.

Fit-out works are underway, followed by the installation of machinery and equipment, with full operations targeted to begin in the first quarter of 2027.

Upon completion, the facility will have a total built-up area of about 150,000 sq ft, including some 67,000 sq ft of cold-room facilities.

The expanded facility will cater to rising demand from Malaysia and Singapore and increase the group’s capacity to process pre-packed and ready-to-cook vegetable products.
