DPI Holdings buys Sabah industrial land for RM7.6mil

KUALA LUMPUR: DPI Holdings Bhd’s subsidiary Eastern Forever (Sabah) Sdn Bhd is acquiring a 2.05-acre industrial land in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, for RM7.6mil cash.

In a Bursa Malaysia filing, DPI said the vacant industrial lot is located at Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park and has a 99-year lease expiring on Dec 31, 2098.

“The acquisition is in line with the group’s strategic plans to expand its fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) distribution network and warehousing capacity in Sabah and East Malaysia, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and market presence in the region,” it said.

DPI said the purchase would be funded through a combination of internally generated funds and/or bank borrowings.

The acquisition is expected to be completed in the first half of 2027, subject to the fulfilment of the terms of the sale and purchase agreement.
