Kim Loong quarterly profit at RM44.94mil


PETALING JAYA: Kim Loong Resources Bhd is revising its fresh fruit bunch (FFB) production target down to 310,000 tonnes for the financial year ending Jan 31, 2027, representing a 6% drop from the preceding year.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said the revision comes following the lower-than-expected FFB production achieved in the first half year.

For its second quarter ended July 31, 2026, net profit dropped to RM44.94mil from RM47.31mil in the previous corresponding period, while revenue dipped to RM422.76mil from RM436.19mil a year earlier.

For the six-month period ended July 31, 2026, Kim Loong’s net profit rose to RM100.12mil from RM89.23mil in the previous corresponding period, while revenue grew to RM872.42mil from RM847.91mil previously.
