AEON Credit 2Q revenue climbs to RM665.2mil

The company's second-quarter net profit dropped to RM59.3mil from RM72.23mil previously.

PETALING JAYA: Aeon Credit Service (M) Bhd’s net profit for its second quarter (2Q) ended Aug 31, 2026, has dropped to RM59.3mil from RM72.23mil in the previous corresponding period, while revenue rose to RM665.2mil from RM617.88mil a year earlier.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, AEON Credit said the ratio of total operating expenses to revenue for the current quarter was 72.5% as compared to 70% in the preceding year’s corresponding quarter.

“The increase in the ratio of operating expenses was mainly attributable to the higher impairment losses on financing receivables of RM273.65mil as compared to RM243.53mil for the preceding year’s corresponding quarter.

“Finance costs for the current quarter were higher as compared to the preceding year’s corresponding quarter, mainly due to higher borrowings in line with the receivables growth,” AEON Credit further added.
