PETALING JAYA: Apollo Food Holdings Bhd
’s net profit rose 9% year-on-year (y-o-y) to RM6.96mil in the first quarter of financial year 2027 (1QFY27) amid operating in a higher-cost environment.
Revenue grew 13% y-o-y to RM73.76mil from driven by stronger export sales.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Apollo managing director Cheah Jia Ming said demand for its products remained stable supported by the group’s focus on affordability. “We observe that consumers are becoming increasingly selective, and our accessible price points have provided a degree of stability in a tightening spending environment,” he said in a statement.
Looking ahead, Apollo is nearing completion of two new layer cake production lines, which are expected to be commissioned in the third quarter of calendar year 2026 (3Q26) and fully operational by 4Q26 to support long-term capacity needs and changing market demand.
The group said it would continue prioritising operational efficiency and route-to-market strategies to mitigate margin pressure and evolving consumer habits, amid sustained headwinds from rising operating costs and geopolitical tensions.
