Coalfields Retail Park targets full occupancy by 1Q27

Coalfields Retail Park, a 21-acre hybrid indoor-outdoor lifestyle mall seamlessly connected to a seven-acre lake park, serves as a new retail and community hub for the Greater Northern Klang Valley.

KUALA LUMPUR: KLK Land Sdn Bhd expects its Coalfields Retail Park in Bandar Seri Coalfields, Sungai Buloh, to achieve 100% occupancy by the first quarter of 2027 (Q1 2027).

The 21-acre lifestyle retail hub, which recently soft-opened, spans about one million sq ft of gross built-up area and will feature more than 100 retail, dining, entertainment, wellness and lifestyle brands.

KLK Land, the property development arm of Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd (KLK), said it remains confident of achieving its target of five million visitors annually after Coalfields Retail Park attracted more than 390,000 visitors during its opening week from Sept 10 to 16.

The retail park forms part of KLK Land’s broader 6,000-acre master plan and serves the 1,000-acre Bandar Seri Coalfields township, which has an estimated gross development value (GDV) of RM5.5bil.

KLK Land managing director Lee Wen Ling said the response to the soft opening had been encouraging.

“Our vision is to build townships that add value and this milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to growing alongside the community.

“We are delighted by the positive response to our soft opening and we truly hope that Coalfields Retail Park will continue to flourish as the heart of the community, while serving the Greater North Klang Valley,” she said in a statement.

The 2.5-storey hybrid indoor-outdoor retail destination is complemented by a seven-acre lake park.

KLK Land said it has also upgraded infrastructure supporting the township, including the progressive widening of access roads along Federal Route 54 towards Sungai Buloh and improvements to pedestrian connectivity.

It added that plans are underway for a new series of commercial shoplots near the mall as Bandar Seri Coalfields continues to expand.
