KUALA LUMPUR: Terberg Tractors Malaysia Sdn Bhd (TTM) has exported more than 8,000 Malaysia-made terminal tractors to over 50 countries as at end-June 2026, as it expands its advanced manufacturing capabilities in Johor.
TTM, a 50:50 joint venture between Sime Darby Industrial Sdn Bhd and Netherlands-based Royal Terberg Group BV, operates a manufacturing facility in Pasir Gudang with an annual production capacity of 1,000 units.
The facility serves as Terberg’s regional centre for Asia Pacific, covering manufacturing and assembly, supply chain management, regional distribution, product support and research and development.
TTM employs more than 300 Malaysians and has a fully local workforce.
The company has also expanded into battery-powered electric terminal tractors, launching the YT200EV in 2022 followed by the YT201EV in May this year. More than 300 electric units have been sold globally to date.
Since 2024, TTM has invested more than RM12mil in its manufacturing facilities, including a blasting and painting shop, warehouse expansion and laser equipment.

group chief executive officer Datuk Jeffri Salim Davidson said TTM's growth had been built through consistent investment in people, facilities and partnerships.
“A Malaysian team in Pasir Gudang is building specialist industrial vehicles that port operators across the world rely on to keep their operations running, and that is something to be proud of.
“This has been built over decades of consistent investment in people, facilities and partnerships. TTM’s continued growth reflects the kind of high-value industrial capability that can support the aspirations of the national GEAR-uP agenda,” he said in a statement.
TTM also spends about RM100mil annually with more than 200 active local suppliers, accounting for about half of its total materials spending.
The company is also developing Malaysian suppliers to participate in Terberg's global supply chain for cabin and chassis production.
Meanwhile, TTM is working with strategic partners to develop autonomous terminal tractors and has deployed its Terberg Connect telematics system on 7,000 Terberg units globally to monitor fleet performance, maintenance and operational efficiency.
