KUALA LUMPUR: SNS Network Technology Bhd
is looking to artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud infrastructure to drive future growth as it expands beyond its core information and communications technology (ICT) products business.
“We are seeing growing interest in AI infrastructure, proof-of-concept initiatives and GPU computing engagements.
“Through SNS AI Cloud and our GPU-as-a-Service model, we aim to support organisations as they adopt AI while developing new technology services and recurring revenue opportunities,” managing director Ko Yun Hung said in a statement.
For the second quarter ended July 31, 2026 (2Q27), SNS Network’s net profit fell 37.3% to RM12.89mil, or earnings per share of 0.76 sen from RM20.56mil, or 1.23 sen a year earlier.
Quarterly revenue declined 54.2% to RM801.78mil from RM1.75bil.
The company attributed the year-on-year decline partly to a high comparative base, as it had secured and delivered substantial orders through its commercial channel in 2Q26. The latest quarter was also affected by the timing of product deliveries.
Ko said some sales were not recognised during the quarter as suppliers were unable to deliver certain ICT products in time due to tight market supply.
“This is a matter of timing, not a drop in demand, and we expect these sales to be recognised when deliveries are completed,” he said.
“While the year-on-year (y-o-y) comparison was affected by a high comparative base and the timing of product deliveries, we remain focused on strengthening our core business while positioning SNS for the next phase of growth through AI, cloud infrastructure and technology services,” Ko said.
Despite the weaker year-on-year performance, SNS Network recorded a strong sequential recovery, with revenue rising 80.2% from RM445.01mil in the preceding quarter and net profit surging 376.3% from RM2.70mil.
For the first half, net profit fell 49.4% to RM15.60mil from RM30.80mil a year earlier, while revenue declined 51.5% to RM1.25bil from RM2.57bil.
SNS Network said it plans to build on its AI initiatives through SNS AI Cloud and its GPU-as-a-Service model while leveraging its existing ICT business and customer relationships.
The company declared a first interim single-tier dividend of 0.25 sen per share, amounting to RM4.26mil, payable on Nov 26.
Looking ahead, SNS expects the ICT products and services industry to remain resilient, supported by continued digitalisation, device replacement cycles and technological advancements.
