PETALING JAYA: UMS Integration Ltd intends to raise up to RM450mil through the issuance of 52.94 million new shares at RM8.50 per share.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, UMS Integration noted the new shares will account for about 5.96% of existing share capital and 5.63% of the enlarged base.
About 75% or RM332mil of the cash will fund expansion in Penang, where UMS is scaling up production capacity with automation, robotics, and digital monitoring systems to address manpower shortages and rising demand.
The remaining 25% or RM111mil will support projects in Vietnam and Singapore.
In Vietnam, funds will be used for new factory acquisition and machinery to leverage lower costs and skilled labour.
In Singapore, proceeds will enhance automation to improve efficiency and reduce reliance on manual labour.
