PETALING JAYA: Cyberjaya Education Group Bhd
has announced a plan to execute a capital reduction of RM235mil to improve its financial standing.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group noted the corporate exercise aims to wipe out accumulated losses that are no longer supported by available assets, thereby providing a more accurate valuation of the firm’s holdings.
The company requires shareholder approval at an upcoming meeting and subsequent legal confirmation from the High Court of Malaya.
If all conditions are met, the restructuring is anticipated to reach completion in the fourth quarter of 2026.
This strategic move is designed to bolster confidence among stakeholders by cleaning up the group’s balance sheet.
