CPE Tech unit acquires advanced machinery valued at RM34.52mil


PETALING JAYA: CPE Technology Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary Champion Precision Technology Sdn Bhd (CPT) has acquired advanced machineries worth RM34.52mil.  The purchase will be financed via a mix of cash and loan facilities, CPE stated in a Bursa Malaysia filing.

The machine vendors are Yamazen (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Numac Machinery Sdn Bhd and DMG Mori CO Ltd of Japan - all established players in industrial machinery and engineering solutions.  The acquisition includes eight citizen Cincom Auto Lathe machines, 45 Okuma CNC Turning machines, 2 DMG CNC Turning machines, 3 Citizen Miyano CNC Turning machines, and 60 Fanuc CNC Milling machines.

CPE noted the investment is aimed at meeting current demand and supporting future business expansion.  By upgrading its production capacity with globally recognized CNC systems, CPE expects to enhance operational efficiency, improve precision engineering capabilities, and strengthen its competitive position in high-value manufacturing.
