Theta Edge appoints Norsyahrin Hamidon as chairman


PETALING JAYA: Theta Edge Bhd has appointed Norsyahrin Hamidon as its chairman with immediate effect.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the system integration and turnkey solutions provider said Norsyahrin (51) has more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry, including fund management, corporate restructuring and management advisory.

“He served as a chairman investment of Kumpulan Modal Perdana, a venture capital firm wholly owned by the Minister of Finance (Inc.) He was also the chairman of the investment committee and board of directors of Pelaburan MARA Bhd.”

Additionally, Theta Edge announced the appointment of Datuk Megat Abdul Munir Megat Abdullah Rafaie as its independent and non-executive director.

“Megat Abdul Munir (56) is the founding partner of Zain Megat and Murad, leading the firm's Kuala Lumpur branch and its corporate and commercial, foundation law, and litigation practice areas.

“With more than 30 years of legal experience, he is a trusted adviser to boards of directors, shareholders, multinational corporations, public-listed companies, and government-linked entities on corporate transactions, governance, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, foreign investments, and regulatory compliance.”
