PETALING JAYA: Widad Group Bhd
has appointed Nor Azlan Zainal as its group managing director and group chief executive officer, as well as its group chief financial officer (CFO).
In a Bursa Malaysia filing, the company said Nor Azlan (56) is currently an independent non-executive director and chairman of the board's audit committee and risk management and sustainability committee of Mikro MSC Bhd.
Additionally, Widad also announced the appointment of Datuk Tengku Shaifuddin Tengku Datuk Jamaluddin (56) as its chairman.
“He began his career as an executive with PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd from 1993 to 1994. He subsequently joined DRB-Hicom Bhd as a manager from 1998 to 2001 before serving as chairman of S.I. Design Sdn Bhd from 2002 to 2006.
Widad also appointed Isyraf Widad Tan Sri Muhammad Ikmal Opat as its executive director.
“Isyraf Widad (31) is the son of Tan Sri Muhammad Ikmal Opat, a substantial shareholder of the company.”
