KUALA LUMPUR: Enest Group Bhd
remains optimistic about the outlook for the edible bird’s nest industry, underpinned by growing demand in Malaysia and China.
“Enest remains encouraged by the prospects of the edible bird’s nest industry in Malaysia and China, supported by rising disposable incomes, growing awareness of the health benefits of edible bird’s nest, and the continued development of downstream processed bird’s nest products,” the high-purity edible bird’s nest processor and trader said in a statement.
In the first quarter ended March 31, Enest posted a net profit of RM2.04mil, or an earnings per share of 0.35 sen on a revenue of RM42.1mil.
No comparative figures are available as this is Enest’s first interim financial report ahead of its ACE Market listing on July 15, 2026. Enest said the gross profit margin, pre-tax profit margin and profit after tax margin stood at 10.1%, 6.3% and 5.1%, respectively.
The bird’s nest segment generated RM41.31mil or 98.1% of total revenue.
