Edelteq appoints new chairman


PETALING JAYA: Edelteq Holdings Bhd has redesignated veteran finance executive Christof Otto Brass as its chairman with effect from yesterday, from his previous position as a director.

Brass brings more than 30 years of international experience in corporate finance, investor relations and governance, having held senior leadership roles across Europe and North America.

He began his career with KPMG Deutsche Treuhand-Gesellschaft AG in Frankfurt in 1995 before moving to Deutsche Bank Realty Advisors Inc in New York.

He later joined Deutsche Bank AG in Frankfurt before being appointed chief financial officer of Cartop Systems, a joint venture between DaimlerChrysler and Porsche.

In 2003, Brass joined Airbus Group, where he spent more than a decade in several vice-president roles.

He subsequently held senior finance positions at GEA Group, Vinventions, Seaspan Shipyards and Atalian Group. Most recently, he served as chief financial officer of biotechnology startup NOSCENDO Group.
