Chin Hin founder hands over roles


PETALING JAYA: Non-independent non-executive chairman of Chin Hin Group Bhd, Datuk Seri Chiau Beng Teik, has resigned from his post as chairman, citing personal reasons in a filing to Bursa Malaysia.

His resignation includes his role in Chin Hin Group Property Bhd, Ajiya Bhd, Fiamma Holdings Bhd, and Signature International Bhd effective July 1, 2026.

Beng Teik’s son, Datuk Wira Chiau Haw Choon, will be redesignated from group managing director to executive chairman.

Simultaneously, Beng Teik’s daughter, Shelly Chiau Yee Wern, has been appointed as the executive director (ED) of Ajiya and Fiamma. She is currently the ED of Chin Hin Group, Chin Hin Group Property and Signature International.

Concurrently, Beng Teik will serve as Chairman Emeritus for Chin Hin Group Property Bhd, Signature International, Fiamma Holdings, and Ajiya.

In this apex advisory capacity, Beng Teik will continue to provide long-term counsel and strategic mentorship.
