EWI Capital appoints Tee Kim Xiong as deputy CEO

PETALING JAYA: EWI Capital Bhd (formerly known as Eco World International Bhd) has appointed Tee Kim Xiong as its deputy chief executive officer.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, EWI Tee (37) said he has extensive experience in corporate and investment banking, having spent the majority of his career with CIMB Bank for nearly 15 years.

“Prior to joining the company, he briefly served as the chief executive officer of a private real estate asset management company.”

Separately, EWI reported a net loss of RM30.86mil for the second quarter ended April 30, 2026 (2Q26), compared with a net profit of RM2.28mil in the previous corresponding period.

The group did not report any revenue.

“The projects in Australia were fully sold and handed over to purchasers in financial year 2025.

“The group completed the subscription into TrustCapital Australian Office Fund No. 3 in 2Q26 and will begin generating income in the near future following the completion of the acquisition of a commercial asset in Melbourne in May 2026.”
