ASM 2 Wawasan declares RM1.18bil payout, 4.75 sen per unit

KUALA LUMPUR: Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB), the wholly-owned unit trust management company of Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB), has declared an income distribution of RM1.18bil for its fixed-price fund, Amanah Saham Malaysia 2 – Wawasan (ASM 2 Wawasan).

In a statement, PNB said the payout is equivalent to 4.75 sen per unit for the financial year ending Aug 31, 2025.

The income distribution will benefit 983,505 unitholders holding a total of 25.5 billion units. It represents a return of 4.75%, outperforming its benchmark, the Maybank 12-Month Fixed Deposit rate of 2.46%, by 229 basis points.

As of Aug 25, the fund recorded a net realised income of RM1.24bil.

Amid a challenging domestic equity market, particularly in the first half of 2025, when the FBM KLCI recorded a one-year total return of -3.5% as at Aug 26, ASM 2 Wawasan has remained resilient, delivering a sustained and competitive payout of 4.75 sen per unit, in line with the previous year.

It said the income distribution for ASM 2 Wawasan is computed based on the average minimum monthly balance held throughout the financial year. The distribution will be automatically reinvested as additional units into unitholders’ accounts on Sept 1.

Transactions for ASM 2 Wawasan will be suspended at ASNB branches, agents, and all online channels from Aug 30- 31 to allow for the income distribution calculation.

Unitholders can resume transactions via the myASNB portal and mobile app from Sept 1, or at ASNB branches and agents nationwide from Sept 2.
