MK Land achieves financial close for 29.99MW solar project in Kedah


KUALA LUMPUR: MK Land Holdings Bhd has achieved financial close for the development of a 29.99-megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic (PV) plant under the Corporate Green Power Programme (CGPP) in Kulim, Kedah.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said Citra Energies Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Solar Citra Sdn Bhd and an indirect subsidiary of M K Land, achieved financial close for the project on May 11, 2026.

“Citra Energies has secured the required financing for the project, which is expected to be operational by the end of 2027.

“The renewable energy revenue is underpinned by long-term virtual power purchase agreements with corporate consumers over a tenure of 21 years,” MK Land said.

The solar PV plant is located at Mukim Padang Meha in Kulim, Kedah.
