Idham to step down as CEO of CelcomDigi

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Idham Nawawi will be ending his tenure as CEO of CelcomDigi Bhd following the completion of his term on Aug 31, 2025, the company says in a statement.

CelcomDigi announced that Idham, who has helmed the company for three years following the merger of Celcom and Digi, will be concluding his service due to “personal reasons”.

He will take on the role of adviser to the board until Nov 30, 2025, where he will lend his support to the leadership team.

Deputy CEO Albern Murty will assume the role of acting CEO from Sept 1, in addition to his responsibilities as deputy CEO. Prior to the Celcom-Digi merger, Albern was the CEO of Digi.Com Bhd.

Idham joined Celcom Axiata Bhd, known as Celcom Bhd, on Sept 1, 2018.

According to CelcomDigi, he has led the company’s transformation and was instrumental in driving the Celcom and Digi merger.
