Salcon unit secures RM167mil water treatment plant contract


KUALA LUMPUR: Salcon Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary Salcon Engineering Bhd has accepted a RM167mil contract from Pengurusan Aset Air Bhd in relation to the proposed construction of a clear water treatment plant and distribution system.

In a bourse filing, the group said the contact was for Package 1 of the project, which entails a proposal to build and commission the installation of a 1,200mm diameter main raw water pipeline and a 90 million litre per day clear water treatment plant, as well as related works.

The contract is for a period of 30 months from April 21, 2025, to Oct 20, 2027.

The project is expected to contribute positively towards the earnings and net assets of Salcon Group for the financial years ending Dec 31, 2025 and onwards.
