KUALA LUMPUR: WCT Holdings Bhd
has proposed to list a real estate investment trust (REIT) on the Main Market of Bursa Securities.
The initial investment portfolio of the REIT will comprise retail properties currently owned by the subsidiaries or joint venture companies to be identified, it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.
By listing the REIT, WCT Holdings aims to raise capital and potentially enhance the liquidity and marketability of its property assets.
The proposed exercise has been under consideration since 2015 and was last reportedly postponed until 2019. - Bernama
