Accrelist buys major stake in MClean


PETALING JAYA: Singapore-listed aesthetic group Accrelist Ltd is acquiring the single-largest shareholding bloc of 28.53% in MClean Technologies Bhd as it eyes to ride on MClean’s hard-disk drive (HDD) business amid the data centre boom in Malaysia.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, MClean said its directors and substantial shareholders have entered into a sale and purchase agreement with Accrelist Crowdfunding Pte Ltd to dispose of about 56.3 million ordinary shares in MClean.

It did not disclose the names of the sellers. However, it is noteworthy that MClean’s top two shareholders were Decor Industries Pte Ltd (26.23%) and JCS Group Pte Ltd (19.65%).

In a statement, Accrelist said the acquisition is conditional upon the satisfaction of certain conditions precedent.
