Datasonic bags RM182mil KDN job extensions


PETALING JAYA: Datasonic Group Bhd has received five letters of extension from the Home Ministry (KDN) totalling RM181.66mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Datasonic said the contract extensions were for a period of six months from June 1, 2024 to Nov 30, 2024.

The company said it received an extension for the supply of MyKad, MyTentera and MyPOCA raw cards and consumables to the National Registration Department (JPN) for an additional ceiling contract value of RM27.81mil.

It also received contract extensions for the supply of Malaysian passport chips (worth RM59.77mil), Malaysian passport documents (RM29.81mil) and polycarbonate biodata pages (RM52.70mil) to the JPN.

Additionally, Datasonic also received an extension for the amendments to the contract for the comprehensive maintenance services of card personalisation centres at JPN, worth RM11.57mil.
