Pharmaniaga CEO steps down


KUALA LUMPUR: Pharmaniaga Bhd has announced that its CEO, Datuk Zulkarnain Md Eusope, has resigned from his post effective today.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the pharmaceuticals group said it was business as usual with an executive committee taking over the responsibility and functions of the CEO in the interim period.

It said the committee comprises non-independent non-executive director Ahmad Shahredzuan Mohd Shariff, deputy CEO Zulkifli Jafar, chief operating officer Mohamed Iqbal Abdul Rahman and chief financial officer Norai’ni Mohamed Ali.

Meanwhile, the executive committee will report to the newly formed PN17 Board Committee Taskforce chaired by independent non-executive director Datuk Lim Thean Shiang.

"Further announcements shall be made in the event of material developments on this matter," said Pharmaniaga.

Before the lunch break, Pharmaniaga's trading stock was down one sen or 3.28% to 29.5 sen a share on the back of 4.8 million units traded.
