Dnex teams up with chip giant Foxconn


Dnex group managing director Tan Sri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir said the project will allow the group and the country to leap forward in semiconductor technology.

PETALING JAYA: Dagang Nexchange Bhd (Dnex) is teaming up with Taiwanese semiconductor giant Hon Hai Precision Industry Co Ltd, better known as Foxconn, to build and operate a wafer fabrication plant in Malaysia.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Dnex said it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a unit of Foxconn, Big Innovation Holdings Ltd (BIH), with the intent to set up a joint-venture company to build and operate the 12-inch wafer fabrication plant.
