Kelington unit secures RM133mil contract for manufacturing facility project in Kuching

KUALA LUMPUR: Keligton Group Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary Kelington Technologies Sdn Bhd (KTSB) has been awarded a contract valued at about RM133mil from a customer in relation to its expansion project in Kuching.

It said in a Bursa Malaysia filing the award encompasses the major structural steel works forming part of the overall advanced data storage manufacturing facility project.

The group announced last Friday that its unit had received a contract from the same customer, a manufacturing company at Sama Jaya Free Industrial Zone in Kuching, valued at about RM172mil. The earlier contract was for the provision of engineering and early-stage infrastructure development for an advanced data storage manufacturing facility.

According to Kelington, the aggregate value of awards secured by KTSB from the customer for the project previously stood at about RM283mil. With the latest contract win, it now stands at approximately RM416mil.

"KTSB expects to continue securing further contracts from the Customer covering various scopes of work in relation to the Project in Kuching, Sarawak," it said.
