Westports ops unaffected by fire

KUALA LUMPUR: Westports Holdings Bhd has assured that the company’s insurance policies would cover damages from a fire which broke out at the company’s container yard on Monday afternoon.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Westports added that the terminal’s operations were unaffected during the incident as the fire was confined and did not cause any damage to the operating equipment or resulted in injuries.

The fire broke out at the company’s container yard at 4.45pm, the company said. — Bernama
