Aeon Credit issues RM100mil five-year senior sukuk


PETALING JAYA: Aeon Credit Service (M) Bhd has raised RM100mil from a senior sukuk issuance with a tenure of five years.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the financing company noted the issuance was the twelfth issuance of senior sukuk under its sukuk programme of RM5bil in value.

The latest issuance brings the total raised under the sukuk programme to RM4.25bil since early 2020. 

Proceeds from the issuance of the senior sukuk shall be utilised by Aeon Credit for financing disbursements to customers in the ordinary course of business of providing consumer financing based on shariah principles, and refinancing of any existing loans/financing of the company or any sukuk issued by the company.
