TWENTY-TWENTY was an eventual year for the capital market regulator. The Securities Commission (SC) faced a myriad of issues ranging from the pandemic, to increased digitalisation of stock trades, the entry of new investors and the increase of unlicensed investment advisers as well as scammers using social media.
