Political uncertainties batter Bursa, sends it to eight year low


As of Monday, with the FBM KLCI at 1,490, the stock market has entered a “bear market” as it has lost more than 20% since its historical high on April 19,2018.

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia was roiled by the rising political uncertainties on Mnday following the break-up of the ruling Pakatan Harapan government and Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's resignation, sending the FBM KLCI to the lowest since December 2011.

As of Monday, with the FBM KLCI at 1,490, the stock market has lost more than 20% since its historical high on April 19,2018.
