YANGON (Xinhua): Myanmar police seized 6.2 million stimulant tablets in Sagaing region, the state-owned daily The Mirror reported on Monday (Aug 24).
Acting on a tip-off, anti-narcotics police raided a house in Kalay town in Sagaing region on Aug. 15 and seized the drugs, the report said.
Two suspects were arrested in connection with the case, while other suspects involved in transporting and purchasing the tablets remained at large, it said.
The suspects have been charged under Myanmar's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, and an investigation is underway to identify other members of the drug-trafficking network, the report said. -- Xinhua
