YANGON: President U Min Aung Hlaing, who had undertaken official visits to the Russian Federation and Belarus, returned to the Tatmadaw Airport in Naypyidaw on the Sunday (Aug 23) afternoon.
At the invitations of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, President U Min Aung Hlaing paid official visits to the Russian Federation and Belarus from Aug 17 to 23.
Upon his arrival back in Naypyidaw after the official visits, President U Min Aung Hlaing was welcomed by government officials and officials from the Russian Embassy in Yangon.
During his official visit to the Russian Federation, President U Min Aung Hlaing held meetings with the Russian President, the Prime Minister of Russia and the chairman of the State Duma, as well as other senior Russian government officials. He also attended the Myanmar-Russia Business Forum.
The meetings also covered ways to further strengthen the existing friendly relations between Myanmar and Russia and promote strategic cooperation in various sectors, including economic, security and social affairs, for the mutual benefit of the two countries.
During his official visit to Belarus, President U Min Aung Hlaing held meetings with the Belarusian President, Prime Minister and Chairman of the House of Representatives, as well as other senior Belarusian government officials. He also attended the opening ceremony of the Myanmar Embassy in Minsk and the Myanmar-Belarus Business Forum.
During the visit, discussions were also held on further strengthening the existing friendly relations between Myanmar and Belarus and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation across various sectors, including economic, security and social affairs. - Eleven Media/ANN
