BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Laksamana College of Business (LCB) recently recognised 77 culinary students for their performance during their internships with a certificate presentation ceremony.

The event highlighted the students’ contributions throughout the International Winter Camp and their involvement in multiple high-profile culinary service events.

The ceremony began with a welcoming address by chief executive officer and deputy principal of LCB Dr Sivarajah, who commended the students for their strong work ethic, professionalism, and commitment to excellence.

These qualities were demonstrated throughout their internship at the college’s student-run restaurant.

Dr Sivarajah also emphasised that their hands-on experience reflects the quality of training and real-world exposure provided by LCB’s Culinary School.

Members of LCB’s top management and faculty from the School of Culinary Arts, who expressed their pride in the students’ growth and achievements, were also in attendance.

The recognition of these interns underscores LCB’s broader mission of creating accessible pathways into professional industries.

Through the government-funded BPTV Scholarship and TVET schemes, students in Brunei can pursue accredited programmes in Culinary, IT, Business, and Travel and Tourism. These programmes are set to empower them with the skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the workforce.

The college remains committed to nurturing future talent and supporting Brunei’s vision for human capital development. – Borneo Bulletin/ANN
