BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Imagine Sdn Bhd, in collaboration with Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, brought an engaging showcase of artificial intelligence (AI) to the Yayasan Hari Raya Aidilfitri Celebration on Saturday (April 4), featuring AI-powered robot performances and interactive displays that captivated audiences while demonstrating the role of technology in enhancing community experiences.

Five AI-powered robots, made possible through the support from strategic partners including Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD), Hengyi Industries, Muara Port Company (MPC), Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (TAIB) Group of Companies, Maju Motors Sdn Bhd, and The Mulia Hotel as the official accommodation partner, were featured across a range of activities, including dance performances, a live calligraphy demonstration, and photo opportunities for the public.

The inclusion of AI elements in this year’s Hari Raya celebration reflects the event’s theme, ‘AI Innovation as a Catalyst for the Development of a Prosperous and Sustainable Society’, and supports Brunei Darussalam’s aspirations under Brunei Vision 2035.

By fostering collaboration between public and private sector stakeholders, such initiatives contribute to building a future-ready, digitally skilled society, while enhancing quality of life through innovation.

As a leading telecommunications service provider, Imagine continues to play a role in advancing the nation’s digital transformation journey. Through strategic collaborations, Imagine remains committed to bridging global technological advancements with local communities, while promoting greater awareness and adoption of emerging technologies.

“We at Imagine are grateful to all partners and co-sponsors whose support made this initiative possible. We are honoured to be part of the Yayasan Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration, and to contribute towards bringing innovative experiences that inspire and engage the community,” said Executive Director and Deputy Chairman of Imagine Ahmad Fathi DP Junaidi.

By creating meaningful platforms that bring innovation closer to the public, Imagine continues to support the development of a digitally empowered society, including initiatives such as introducing drone performances to Brunei Darussalam.

In addition to the humanoid robot showcase, Imagine also highlighted several of its ongoing innovation initiatives that leverage AI-driven solutions. These included a Bicycle Awareness App, aimed at enhancing road safety for all users and to be made accessible to the public, a document summarisation tool designed to improve operational efficiency, as well as an AI-powered chatbot with multiple applications to support day-to-day functions.

Collectively, these initiatives demonstrate Imagine’s commitment to harnessing technology to drive smarter, safer, and more efficient solutions for the community. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
