Training enhances knowledge of traditional Malay massage in Brunei


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Some 15 participants completed the Traditional Malay Massage Course Levels 1 and 2, with a Certificate Presentation Ceremony held to mark the completion.

Datin Masrelawati Mohd Said, the guest of honour, presented certificates to the participants.

Conducted over five days, the course aimed to provide participants with knowledge of Traditional Malay Massage while preserving Brunei’s cultural heritage through the practice of traditional methods.

It also sought to teach correct massage procedures and techniques, equip participants with practical skills in Traditional Malay Massage, and highlight the therapeutic benefits of the therapy.

The participants comprised retirees, religious teachers, former teachers and undergraduates.

The course was organised by WA Waty Armeyza and AFDAL Training and Consultancy, with facilitators and trainers comprising Latifah A. Razak and Linda Aini Abdullah. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
