Brunei Year 7 students attend nationhood briefing

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: A total of 169 Year 7 students from Sultan Sharif Ali Secondary School, Salambigar, attended the national briefing programme ‘Our Monarch, Appreciating the National Flag and Anthem of Brunei Darussalam’ on Wednesday (April 1).

It was organised by the Information Department at the Prime Minister’s Office, through the Nationhood Unit of the Strategic Communication Section, Publication and Strategic Communication Division.

The briefing was delivered by Head of Strategic Communication Section Mufidah Abdul Hakim.

The presentation covered various topics concerning Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah.

It also detailed the history and proper procedures for hoisting the national flag, as well as the background of the national anthem, Allah Peliharakan Sultan.

Students also viewed a video titled Procedures for Hoisting the National Flag and participated in a national quiz designed to enhance their understanding of the briefing’s content.

The programme forms part of the department’s ongoing efforts to instil a spirit of solidarity, patriotism and national identity among the younger generation.
