BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) continue to provide Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) response in coordination with government agencies, following continuous heavy rainfall and unstable weather conditions affecting several areas throughout Brunei Darussalam

In the Tutong District, the Second Battalion of the RBLF provided relief efforts following flash floods that affected residential areas, as well as disrupting the main road networks and access routes to remote areas.

Transportation assistance using four-tonne vehicles was provided to evacuate residents in Jalan Kecil Takuyad, Kampong Bukit Udal.

Food rations were also distributed to residents of Kampong Panchong to Kampong Benutan in the Jalan Sum-Sum area to meet the basic needs of the affected residents.

Meanwhile, in the Belait District, the Third Battalion of the RBLF, in collaboration with the Brunei Darussalam Fire and Rescue Department, implemented relief efforts at the Suri Seri Begawan Hospital by providing sandbags and canvas barriers to prevent floodwaters from entering the hospital premises.

In the face of active and unpredictable weather conditions, the RBLF remains committed and fully prepared to provide disaster relief assistance to the public across all four districts. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
