BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Ministry of Religious Affairs, through the Department of Haj Affairs, has announced revisions to the departure and arrival times for Brunei’s haj pilgrims for the 1447H/2026 season.
The departure time for first-phase pilgrims travelling from Brunei to Madinah has been brought forward to 10.15am, from the previously scheduled noon, for all Haj Flights: BI4201 on May 4, BI4203 on May 5, BI4205 on May 6, and BI4207 on May 7, local times.
Changes have also been made to the arrival times for return flights from Jeddah to Brunei. Flights BI4222, BI4226, and BI4228 will now arrive at noon (previously 10.35am), while flight BI4224 is scheduled to arrive at 11.40am (previously 10.15am).
The updated return flight BI4222 on June 2, BI4226 on June 4, and BI4228 on June 5 will depart at 7pm (local time) and arrive in Brunei at noon the following day. Flight BI4224 on June 3 will depart at 6.40pm (local time) and arrive at 11.40am the following day.
Intending haj pilgrims are advised to take note of the revised times and make the necessary preparations accordingly.
The ministry has also advised on the advanced check-in schedule for intending haj pilgrims at Brunei International Airport, which will be conducted one day prior to departure.
For the first flight on May 4, baggage check-in takes place on May 3 at Counter Row B. Darussalam Services Sdn Bhd(DSSB) pilgrims are scheduled from 1pm to 2.30pm, followed by Straits Central Agencies Sdn Bhd (SCA) from 2.30pm to 4pm.
For the second flight on May 5, check-in is on May 4 at Counter Row C: Dar El-Ehsan Travel Sdn Bhd (1pm-2.30pm), DSSB (2pm-3pm), and Titian Travel and Tours Sdn Bhd (3pm-4pm).
For the third flight on May 6, check-in is on May 5 at Counter Row C: Al-Hijrah Travel and Tours Sdn Bhd (1pm-2.30pm), At-Taqwa Travel Tours Sdn Bhd (2pm-3pm), and DSSB (3.00pm-4.00pm).
Finally, for the fourth flight on May 7, check-in is on May 6 at Counter Row B: Balurih Travel Sdn Bhd (1.00pm-2.30pm), with DSSB Group A from 1.30pm to 2.30pm and Group B from 2.30pm to 4.00pm.
