Cambodia, Dominica agree to strengthen bilateral ties for mutual benefit

PHNOM PENH: (Bernama-Xinhua) Cambodia and the Commonwealth of Dominica on Thursday (Oct 9) agreed to strengthen and expand their bilateral ties and cooperation for mutual benefit, reported Xinhua.

The agreement was made during a bilateral meeting between Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet and visiting Dominican Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit in the capital Phnom Penh, said a news release from the Cambodian Prime Minister's Spokesperson Unit.

"The two leaders also discussed and exchanged views on promoting cooperation in key sectors, including political-diplomatic affairs, economy, trade, agriculture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges," the news release said.

Hun Manet said Skerrit's working visit was an important opportunity to strengthen and expand bilateral relations and cooperation, as this year marked the 15th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

After their talks, the two prime ministers witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of bilateral consultations, which is intended to promote practical cooperation in potential sectors of mutual benefit for both nations.
