Fire breaks out in Myanmar's Mon State


YANGON: A house caught fire in Sitkeikone Ward, Mawlamyine, on the afternoon of September 4, according to residents.

The fire reportedly started at around 4:40 p.m. in a house located on the main road, in front of the Denko gas station and near the Mon State Government Office. Residents said the house belonged to a Chinese abacus teacher and confirmed that no casualties occurred.

Firefighters from the state, district, and township fire departments, along with local rescue teams and residents, managed to bring the blaze under control by around 5:20 p.m.
