Naked man attacks three cops in Singapore's Hougang area, slashes another person


SINGAPORE: A 22-year-old man was arrested after allegedly slashing another man at Hougang Avenue 8, on Thursday (April 17).

While he was being arrested, he injured three police officers using a wooden plank with nails.

The police said they received calls for help and saw the man running around naked.

He had allegedly attacked a 31-year-old man earlier.

The police said: “The three police officers suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention.”

The suspect was taken conscious to the hospital.

He was arrested for voluntarily causing hurt by grievous means, and for voluntarily causing hurt to deter a public servant from performing his duty.

A knife and a wooden plank with nails were seized as case exhibits. Police investigations are ongoing. - The Strait Times/ANN
